TEACHER-ESCORTED TOURS


What is a Teacher-escorted tour ?
A tour escorted by a Teacher is a tour without a Tour Manager. Part of the work, a Tour Manager usually does, is done by the Teacher.

What documentation will a Teacher be given ?
The Assistance at the airport will hand over a full documention to the head Teacher.

The documentation includes:
24 hours emergency telephone number


Vouchers for services such as hotels, restaurants, motor coach, sightseeing

Train tickets (if applicable)
Description / route planner for the included walks (if applicable)
   
What is the Teachers' work on a Teacher-escorted tour ?
Please find an example of what a Teacher is expected to do on a Teacher-escorted tour hereunder:
VENICE, FLORENCE & ROME BY RAIL
Day 1 Flight (not included)
Day 2 VENICE
Arrive Venice Airport. Meet your English speaking Assistance for a private transfer to Venice Piazzale Roma. Short walk to hotel. Leave luggage at hotel and explore Venice on your own. (Hotel check-in around 2 pm). Dinner and overnight in Venice


Outside the custom facilities you will meet your Assistance who is holding a name board with your School's name on it.


You are transferred by private bus to Venice and on foot to your nearby hotel.


You leave your luggage at the hotel and explore Venice on your own.

In the afternoon you check-in at your hotel.



You will ask the receptionist to do the wake-up calls and you will fix a time for Breakfast.

Day 3 VENICE
Breakfast
Take a walk to San Marco or use the public boat called "Vaporetto". Meet your licensed guide for a walking tour through Venice including an inside visit of the San Marco Basilica. Rest of the day free.
Dinner and overnight in Venice.
Have your breakfast.

Meet guide at the meeting point for your sight seeing tour.
Day 4 FLORENCE
Breakfast
Walk to near by Venice train station Venezia Santa Lucia and board your 2nd class train to Florence. Arrive Florence, short walk to your hotel and rest of the day free. Dinner and overnight in Florence.


You have arranged wake-up calls but to be on the safe side you will have your own alarm clock with you.



We suggest to send a few students to a supermarket to buy food and mineralwater for your own on train picnic lunch.


Walk to Venice train station Santa Lucia in time to catch your train.(see description)
Check the platform from where your train leaves.
Enter the train and sit down on your reserved seats and enjoy the train ride to Florence.

Hotel check-in (fix a time for breakfast, wake up calls)
 

Day 5 FLORENCE
Breakfast
Meet your local guide for a half-day city sightseeing walking tour of Florence. No Entrances included. Afternoon free. You may consider to book optional pre-reserved "jump the queue tickets" to the Academia or Uffizi Galleries. Dinner and overnight in Florence.



Meet your guide at the agreed meeting point and time (as per description)

Day 6 ROME
Breakfast
Short walk to Florence train station. 2nd class train Florence - Rome. Short walk to your hotel and rest of the day free. Dinner and overnight in Rome.


Walk to Florence train station in time to catch your train. (as per description)



Check the platform from where your train leaves. Enter the train, sit down on your reserved seats and travel to Rome. (Again we suggest to have bought food and water for the train ride)

Day 7 ROME
Breakfast
Morning half-day local guided city sight seeing walking tour of Rome including an inside visit to the Colosseum. Dinner and overnight in Rome.


Your guide picks you up at the scheduled time for a walking tour.

Day 8 ROME
Breakfast
Full day free to explore eternal Rome on your own or full day optional excursion to Sorrento and Pompei. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Full day free


if you have pre-booked optionals you will be picked up and dropped off at your hotel.
Day 9 Departure
Breakfast
Private motor coach transfer to Rome Airport. End of services.


Convince yourself that everybody has been given a wake-up call and make sure your students are ready for departure.


A Motorcoach picks you up at the hotel at the agreed time for a transfer to the Airport.

You do your own check-in at the airport.
